Marine-Aid is an effective treatment for a wide variety of external protozoan and bacterial infections including Costia, Chilodonella, Cryptocaryon, Amlyoodinium, Trichodina, Columnaris, fin rot, mouth fungus as well as other superficial skin infections and open wounds.
Signs of treatable diseases include increased respiration, scratching on substrate or rocks, loss of normal body color, lethargic behavior, body lesions with reddish coloration, dust-like yellowish areas on body, whitish skin slime, disintegrating fins or fin edges, skin ulcers, and/or distinct white spots on body or fins.
Dosing instructions
Use 1 teaspoon (5 ml) per 10 gallons, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) per 30 gallons. Treat daily with a 25% to 50% water change. Adjust dosage to match changed water. Remove carbon during treatment. After treatment is complete, perform a 25% water change and replace carbon filtration.
Marine-Aid can be used when adding new fish to a marine aquarium to reduce the chance of disease outbreak. Suspend carbon filtration during treatment, perform a 25% to 50% water change after three days and replace carbon.
